COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE AND FAA “PROMPT SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT.”

1.      Who is eligible? First-time violations related to alcohol, drug, and medical certificate fraud.

2. If you are eligible, the FAA will notify you, and you must respond within 10 days to enter into a prompt settlement agreement.

3. Once the agreement is signed, the pilot surrenders all FAA-issued certificates.

 Advantage: The pilot is eligible to reapply for licenses from the FAA after a one-year waiting period. This is a great benefit for pilots, as it allows them to avoid lengthy litigation and regain their flying license much sooner than would be possible otherwise.
